We're looking for early-career engineers who want to learn to own product outcomes from day one, not just close tickets. You'll work alongside senior engineers shipping AI agents to Holidu's 4M guests and 55k+ hosts, get serious mentorship, and develop the muscles to own entire problem spaces yourself.

Your team works directly with the Co-founder and CTO.
The Context
Holidu connects 4 million guests with 55k+ vacation rental hosts every year. Our Agentic Experience team is a small, fast-moving group inside Holidu's 200-person Engineering organization, rethinking how users interact with our platform using AI, how we build applications, and how we design agentic systems, with a lot of first-principles thinking along the way.
Today our agents handle thousands of real conversations across WhatsApp, email, in-product chat, and the help center, with the surface area expanding into adjacent products and internal tools. We're not running playbooks or following standard processes. We innovate and move radically fast.
Your role in this journey
Learn by shipping. You'll start with well-scoped pieces of bigger problems and grow into owning your own. The path from "I built this feature" to "I shaped this product" is short here.
Get close to the problem. You'll sit in on real user conversations, watch how people hit walls, and learn that the hardest part of engineering is figuring out what to build, not how to build it.
Work alongside senior engineers. Pair, review code, debate trade-offs. You'll have direct access to people who've shipped at scale and want you to grow.
Get your hands dirty with AI. You'll write production code for agents that handle real conversations and automate complex workflows.
Master your tools, and the problems they solve. Our stack runs on Kotlin/Java, AWS, Kubernetes, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis, with workflow-automation tooling and the Model Context Protocol stitching agents to the rest of the platform. You'll get fluent fast, and we'll teach you to use AI coding tools like Claude Code as a real extension of your thinking.
Your backpack is filled with
A bias toward shipping. You'd rather get something rough into production and iterate than polish forever in isolation.
Genuine curiosity about users: what they actually want, why they get frustrated, what would make them love a product.
Genuine curiosity about AI coding tools and agents. You don't need to be an expert; you need to want to be one.
Hands-on backend experience. Strong internships and substantial side projects count. Kotlin or another JVM language is a plus, but the thinking matters more than the language.
Solid programming fundamentals: data structures, APIs, debugging, writing tests.
Comfort with feedback. You ask questions, take notes, and come back with better work.
Clear communication in code, in writing, and in conversation.
