Senior AI Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d)

What we do

Merantix Momentum is a Berlin-based AI startup focusing on accelerating AI adoption across many industries through B2B solutions, as well as publicly funded research projects. We work across several domains, including automotive, manufacturing, retail, healthcare and many more, transforming businesses as an external machine learning department. We achieve this using our core expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning combined with our culture of rapid iterations to build scalable solutions.

Your role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Merantix Momentum (m/f7d), you take end-to-end ownership of AI-powered applications from architecture decisions to production deployment. You work at the intersection of machine learning and user-facing products, building the interfaces and systems that make AI solutions accessible, scalable, and maintainable. An AI is worth nothing without a user interface! Your role will include serving our AI solutions to users and other systems.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Solve complex industry problems by designing and developing production-grade, AI-augmented web applications and APIs
• Build and maintain platforms for integration, curation, exploration, and monitoring of data at scale
• Define and drive technical architecture decisions in close collaboration with ML, data, and infrastructure engineers
• Translate complex AI outputs into intuitive, performant user experiences
• Contribute to engineering culture: code reviews, documentation, and technical standards
• Mentor and support less experienced team members

Your profile

You are a great fit for our team if you bring these qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in full stack development in a product, startup, or consulting environment
• Strong command of Python (backend), TypeScript, ReactJS, HTML5/CSS3
• Proven experience designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs
• Solid understanding of SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, BigTable)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Track record of shipping production systems, not just prototypes
• Fluency in English; German proficiency is a plus for client-facing work
