At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
- Translate complex technical capabilities like foundational models and agentic workflows into intuitive, seamless interface designs and user paradigms for Google developers.
- Deliver high-quality user journeys, wireframes, interaction models, and pixel-perfect mockups that adhere to and evolve Google's design systems.
- Build interactive prototypes to quickly test, iterate, and demonstrate novel artificial intelligence (AI) interactions (e.g., chat interfaces, inline code suggestions, autonomous agent.).
- Collaborate daily with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Research Scientists to align design solutions with technical feasibility and product constraints.
- Partner with User Experience (UX) researchers to synthesize developer feedback, usability testing, and telemetry data into actionable design improvements. Take ambiguous product requirements and break them down into well-defined user problems and iterative design phases.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience in prototyping interactive design concepts to test ideas (e.g., Figma, Claude).
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers, or researchers) to build digital products.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
